What So Not is an Australian music project by record producer Christopher John Emerson known by his stage name Emoh. The project has toured worldwide and played in several festivals such as Lollapalooza, Ultra Music Festival, Pukkelpop, and Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. What So Not is best known for its hit singles, including “Tell Me,” “High You Are,” “Jaguar,” “Gemini,” and “Innerbloom.” The project has also been featured on several charts like USA iTunes Dance Album, Triple J Hottest 100, and Australian Singles Chart.
On March 9, 2018, What So Not released its debut album entitled, Not All the Beautiful Things. The project released its debut EP, 7 Dollar Bill, on November 13, 2011. What So Not had already released several remixes of artists during that time, including Major Lazer, Tom Piper, and Peking Duk. The project embarked on the Massive Universe Tour in early 2013 and played at numerous venues across Australia. The project released its second EP, The Quack, on May 28, 2013. It featured a collaboration with Action Bronson through the label OWSLA.
What So Not also released the 6-track EP entitled, Divide & Conquer on September 9, 2016. The EP included the previous track, “Lone.” The first single of the 2019 season for What So Not was “We Can Be Friends.” The single featured American singer Herizen, and it was released on January 22, 2019.
