Villages Philharmonic Orchestra Information
Founded in 2004 by multi-instrumentalist and conductor Maestro Pasquale Valerio, The Villages Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the premier orchestras in the area. The orchestra presents works such as Jan Joseph Rosler's Concerto in D Major for Pianoforte and Orchestra and Grand Schubert's Symphony No. 1 in D Major, D. 82 as part of its Classical Concert Series. Both Giuseppe Bruno and Rita Cuce will be appearing as special guests.
A native of Naples, Italy, Maestro Valerio was raised there. His musical education began at the N. Piccini Conservatory of Music, where he studied trumpet playing when he was nine. The piano was another instrument he learned. His first paid gig was with the Italian Military Police band (Carabinieri). Conducting appearances by Valerio include those with the Orchestra Filarmonica 900', the Teatro Regio, and the Viotti International Music Festival.
Pianist, conductor, and composer Giuseppe Bruno has appeared as a soloist with various chamber orchestras and ensembles. Bosnia, Ukraine, Poland, and the United States are just a few places he's visited. He has collaborated with renowned conductors like Alkis Baltas, Spiros Argiris, and Sam McClure.
Rita Cuce, an Italian pianist and vocalist, was born in Albenga when she was five. While in Florence, she studied under Alessandro Specchini at the L. Cherubini Conservatory. The Conservatory of Music in Perugia awarded her a Master of Music with honors. She has been a soloist with several prestigious orchestras worldwide, including the Teatro Regio Orchestra of Turin. She's been in shows and on albums before.
