Victoria Monet Information
Victoria Monét McCants (May 1, 1989) is an American singer and musician born in Atlanta, Georgia. At an early age, she started dancing on stage, first in a city dance team and then in the youth choir at her church. She quickly became a writer and collaborator with Rodney Jerkins.
While under contract with Atlantic Records, Monét released the Nightmares & Lullabies: Act 1 and Act 2 E.P.s in 2014 and 2015, respectively. After this, in February and September of 2018, Monét released the E.P. Life After Love, Parts 1 and 2, respectively.
Amid Grande's Sweetener World Tour, the duo Victoria Monét and Ariana Grande dropped the single "Monopoly" on April 1, 2019. The single was Monét's first chart entry, which peaked at No. 70 on the Billboard Hot 100. Monét was also ranked No. 16 in the same week on Billboard's Emerging Artists list.
Monét's single "F.U.C.K." and its accompanying western-themed music video premiered on February 1, 2021. Featuring Rickey Thompson, she dropped a music video for her new track "Coastin" on August 5, 2021.
As her first new single since 2021, Monét released "Smoke," featuring Lucky Daye, on March 24, 2023. The subsequent singles to "Smoke" were released on May 10 (with "Party Girls") and June 16 (with "On My Mama"). On May 26, a dancehall remix of "Party Girls" was released, including Michal Brun. The 125th issue of Clash, published in July 2023, featured Monét on its cover.
