Twin Shadow Information
George William Lewis Jr. (March 30, 1983) is a Dominican-American record producer, actor, singer, and songwriter, professionally known by his stage name, Twin Shadow. He was born in the Dominican Republic and grew up in Florida. He relocated to Boston around 2000, where he formed Mad Man Films with Before Lazers bassist Zak Longo and Hooray For Earth drummer Joseph Ciampini. Independently, Mad Man Films produced two recordings. In 2006, Lewis moved to Brooklyn, New York, and began the Twin Shadow project because he was dissatisfied with the music he created for theater and movies.
Forget, Lewis' self-titled debut album was released on Terrible Records on November 15, 2010. The producer of the album was Grizzly Bear's Chris Taylor. Lewis' follow-up album, Confess, which he produced himself, was released on July 10, 2012. Lewis' motorbike accident in Boston catalyzed the album's composition. The tracks "Five Seconds" and "Patient" from the album were made into a music video saga based on Lewis's book Night of the Silver Sun.
Caer, the fourth studio album by Twin Shadow and his last with Warner Bros., was released on April 27, 2018. With the release of "Hollow Days" on October 26, 2018, Twin Shadow established his record label, Cheree Cheree, fusing American lyrics with the bachata rhythms of his native Dominican Republic. On December 26, 2018, the EP "Broken Horses" was released.
