Tritonal Information
Tritonal is an American music duo based in Austin, Texas. The group consists of DJs and producers David Reed and Chad Cisneros. Tritonal was formed in 2008. In its early years, the duo collaborated with Cristina Soto, an Austin based vocalist. They have also hosted the “Air Up There,” which was a trance radio show. Above & Beyond featured the duo’s track “Lights Over Austin” on the compilation entitled “Anjunabeats Volume Six” in 2008.
Tritonal formed the Air Up There Recordings, a sub-label that was formed in 2010. The first release was a collaboration with Cristina Soto entitled “Hands to Hold Me.” The band released its debut artist album “Piercing the Quiet” in 2011 in which they produced eight top 20 Beatport singles. Five out of eight held the number 1 position for over three weeks on the trance chart. Tritonal then released the remix version of the album, this time entitled “Piercing The Quiet Remixed.” The album reached the top 5 on the dance albums chart on iTunes.
Tritonal ended their radio show Air Up There with a sold-out live performance in Austin, Texas. Since then, they are hosting the new program called “Tritonia” that airs on the SiriusXM Electric Area. The band quit the trance style while adopting the house style in 2013. This style was reflected in the band’s EP series, Metamorphic.
Tritonal released its second studio album entitled “Painting With Dreams” in 2016 and their third album “U & Me” in June 2019. The band has a long list of extended plays. A few of them are Somnium / Photographique (2008), Kinetik (2009), and several others.
