Trisha Yearwood Information

Trisha Yearwood (September 19, 1964), with a birth name Patricia Lynn Yearwood, is an American celebrity chef, television personality, country music artist, actress, and author. She was born in Monticello, Georgia. From an early age, Yearwood was passionate about music. Due to her love for music, she participated in school and community events from an early age. Yearwood moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to enroll in Belmont College to get a music business degree, in 1985.

After completing her degree, Trisha Yearwood got an internship in MTM Records, where she ended up as a full-time employee. She recorded few demo tapes while working there as well as worked with Garth Brooks. Their friendship turned useful, and Brooks brought Yearwood to his producer Allen Reynolds who then brought her to the eyes of producer Garth Fundis.

Eventually, after the collaboration of Yearwood and Fundis, the two started recording a demo tape in 1990. Yearwood performed live at showcase label. She impressed MCA Records producer Tony Brown during one of her performances and got a name signed with the help of Brown. In 1991 after signing with the label, she opened acts for Brooks during his nationwide tour.

Yearwood released her debut album in 1991. The lead single of the album was "She's in Love with the Boy." This single became her major success after it hit no.1 on Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Also, her singles from the same album, "That's What I Like About You," "Like We Never Had a Broken Heart," and "The Woman Before Me" reached the top 10 in Hot Country Songs chart.

Yearwood has received 3 Academy of Country Music Awards, 3 Grammy Awards, 1 Daytime Emmy Award, and 3 Country Music Association Awards to date.
