Trey Anastasio was born on the 30th of September, 1964. Trey Anastasio is his stage name; his real name is Ernest Joseph Trey Anastasio III. Trey is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and composer from America, who is well-known for his leadership in the rock band called Phish. He co-founded Phish with its other three members from the same University in 1983. Trey Anastasio composed approximately around 152 original songs of the band Phish. He, as a solo artist, has released 11 albums and has been a part of numerous projects such as Surrender to the Air, Trey Anastasio Band, Ghost of the Forest, and many more.
Trey Anastasio has been affiliated with six recording labels - Elektra, JEMP, Sony, Rubber Jungle, MapleMusic Recordings (Canada), and Sony BMG. Trey Anastasio has performed the songs that he composed with the L.A. Philharmonic, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, and several other artists. He wrote the score for the musical Hands on a Hardbody, a Broadway musical. Trey Anastasio was nominated for his work for the musical at the Tony Awards for Best Original Score in 2013. In 2013 Trey Anastasio was awarded for the best theatrical score composition at the 2013 Dramatists Guild Frederick Loewe Award.
