Tim Montana Information
Tim Montana (January 5, 1985) is an American singer and songwriter from Kalispell, Montana. His music is defined as country and southern rock. Montana grew in Butte, Montana, and was given his first guitar at 6. Since Montana's family's trailer had no electricity, he taught himself to play in candlelight. Later, Montana began performing in school talent shows. In 2003, he graduated from Butte High School and relocated to Los Angeles to study music.
During his time in Los Angeles, Montana met producer and guitarist Johnny Hiland, who encouraged Montana to move to Nashville. Montana took his advice and began playing country and southern rock. Iron Horse was the debut album by Montana that was released in August 2007. In that same year, Montana met the late-night talk show host David Letterman before his Independence Day concert in Choteau, Montana. Later on, Montana was invited by Letterman on his show, The Late Show with David Letterman.
Montana also worked with ZZ Top founder Billy Gibbons and Kid Rock. Along with Gibbons, Montana co-wrote and recorded the single named "This Beard Came Here to Party." The two of them also wrote three more songs; "Weed and Whiskey," "Fifty Fifty," and "Rust and Red." As a solo artist, Montana released his second album in 2016, entitled Tim Montana and the Shrednecks. American Thread is the third and latest album by him that came out in 2020.
