The Wild Feathers are a country-rock band that was founded in 2010. The group originated from Nashville, Tennessee, and its music is defined as rock, alternative rock, country, and southern rock. The band's current lineup consists of Joel King, Ricky Young, Taylor Burns, and Ben Dumas. Two past members are Preston Wimberly (guitar) and Aaron Spraggs (drums). All the band members were lead singers in their former bands. Wimberly and Burns were high school friends and previously played in a band called Noble Dog.
The Wild Feathers were initially signed by Jeff Sosnow, an A&R man at Interscope Records. When the contract ended, the band signed to Warner Records. The group members started to tour in 2013, playing hundreds of crowded shows with notable acts like Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, and ZZ Ward. The Wild Feathers released their self-titled album in the summer of 2013 and was produced by Jay Joyce. "The Ceiling" was a single included in the debut album that peaked at number 7 on Adult Alternative Songs.
Some other notable studio albums by the Wild Feathers include Lonely Is a Lifetime 2016 and Greetings from the Neon Frontier 2018. The band also released one live album entitled Live At The Ryman in 2016. The group is well-known for featuring the harmonic talents of multiple vocalists such as Young, King, and Burns.
