The Wayward Sons Information
Wayward Sons is a band founded when Toby Jepson was approached by a record label that wanted to make a new album with him. Jepson told the record label executives that he would agree but only if they agree on his terms creatively and with a new band. Jepson pulled together his dream team of Phil Martini (drums), Dave Kemp (keyboards), Nic Wastell (bass), and Sam Wood (guitars) for the project.
In the Autumn of 2017, Wayward Sons released their debut album entitled “Ghosts Of Yet To Come.” The album was a blend of punk, wave, and hard rock. The band’s following increased rapidly after this release with Planet Rock even awarding the group with its “Best New Act” award the same year.
Wayward Sons spent years touring and returned to the studio at the beginning of 2019. A short film preceded their next album, “The Truth Ain’t What It Used To Be.” The film was cut into four video chunks, depicting a society where clowns had taken over. The album that followed was released with four initial tracks.
