The organizer of the 2014 Hoxeyville Music Festival requested the reunion of the Sweet Water Warblers for a single performance.
All three musicians were deeply committed to positive social change and personal growth through their art, and this early shared vision served as the foundation for a powerful friendship. Each woman has already established a successful solo career in the Americana and roots music scenes and her unique take on the genre. From the start, it was evident that the sum of their abilities, whether it be the gospel and soul-laced melodies unearthed in Davis' work, the Appalachian folk and country-leaning songs spoken by Erlewine, or the adaptable country soul and bluegrass origins of Lou's band, would be unrivaled.
Singing sirens and multi-instrumentalists, they released their debut EP, With You, in 2017; it features their magnificent three-part vocal harmonies. AmericanaUK dubbed its genre-hopping sound "top drawer roots music," with styles ranging from gospel and bluegrass to soul and even upbeat interpretations of pop.
