The Sh-Booms Information
The Sh-Booms are a 6-piece ensemble that originated from Orlando, FL. The band’s music is classified as soul, garage, and Rock & Roll. The group has been heralded as The Orlando Weekly’s “Best Soul Act,” running for 4-years. The Sh-Boom is currently led by charismatic and ultra-soulful front-woman famous as Brenda Radney. She is best known for lending her vocal talents to some notable albums from Justin Timberlake (20/20 Experience, Pt. 2. She was also signed to his Tennman label). She also made contributions to “And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead” (2009’s ‘The Century of Self’) along with Al Ruiz (Bassist/Songwriter/Band Leader).
The Sh-Boom released its debut EP along with the Supreme Queen ‘Mizz Bren”. The EP entitled ‘Usage Fee EP’ was produced, recorded, and mixed by one of the famous Grammy nominees Alan Armitage and Mastered by Brian Lucey (The Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys). The debut LP by the group was released in the summer of 2017. It was recorded to tape by The Woolly Bushmen’s Simon Palombi along with the band members.
Since their official creation, the Sh-Booms have road-dogged over 400 dates supporting artists and ensembles like Lee Fields, Jacuzzi Boys, Sebadoh, The Roots, Jessica Hernandez and The Deltas, The B-52’s, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Gringo Star, KRS-One, along with more than 15 festival dates.
