The Piedmont Boys is an American band that started from Greenville, South Carolina. The current lineup consists of Mike Johnson (bass and vocals), Tony Pilot (drums), Stuart McConnell (lead guitar and vocals), Matt Parks (fiddle and vocals), and Greg Payne (vocals and guitar). Payne is also the founding member of the Piedmont Boys. The group has played thousands of shows and logged thousands of miles since its inception. They play blue-collar honky-tonk music that is against the grain with powerful energy.
The Piedmont Boys have shared the stage with personalities from Charlie Robinson to Eric Church. The group has also played rodeos from Texas to Oregon. Their live shows are similar to the pedal-to-the-floorboard. The group members mix country with bluegrass and southern rock. All these mixtures make the band unique and entertaining.
The Piedmont Boys released their debut album entitled “The Piedmont Boys” in 2008. Since then, they have come up with a few more notable albums, including Scars & Bars (2015), Walking Pneumonia (2010), All on Red (2016), and Almost Home (2020).
