The Lehman Trilogy Information
Stefano Massini, an Italian novelist and playwright, is responsible for a trilogy called The Lehman Trilogy. The film chronicles the experiences of three immigrant brothers, from their arrival in the United States to the eventual failure of the investment firm they founded in 2008. It has been published as a novel, produced by Luca Ronconi and Sam Mendes, and translated into 24 other languages. In 2018, the National Theatre adapted the play into English, based on Mirella Cheeseman's translation.
Beginning on 11 May 2019, this show again played at the West End's Piccadilly Theatre for a strictly limited twelve-week run that will conclude on 31 August 2019. The National Theatre's production, featuring Ben Godley, Howard Beale, and Miles' Broadway understudy Howard W. Overshown, ran at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles for a limited engagement from 3 March to 10 April 2022.
Starring Nigel Lindsay, Michael Balogun, and Hadley Fraser, the show briefly returned to London's West End at the Gillian Lynne Theatre from 14 January to 20 May 2023. Richard Dixon adapted the story into a trilogy of novels, first published in Italian as Qualcosa sui Lehman in 2016 and then in English as The Lehman Trilogy in 2020.
