The original trio is back together after five years apart, and they're making new music inspired by a rekindled sense of brotherhood and collaboration. These three composers, now dispersed across the United States, create Front Porch Americana fresh and classic soundscapes by blending the musical traditions of Nashville, Minnesota, and Bozeman, Montana.
The band's tunes, influenced by their down-to-earth Midwestern values, effortlessly combine Folk, Old Time String-Band, and Indie Rock elements to produce a sound that captures the current pulse of the American musical landscape. The Last Revel's ability to play multiple instruments allows them to create elaborate arrangements that feature three-part vocal harmonies, acoustic and electric guitars, upright bass, fiddle, and 5-string banjo, all of which serve to enhance the band's passionate performances of the songs they've written.
The Last Revel was recorded at Minneapolis, Minnesota's RiverRock Studios, in February 2022, with old friend Kevin Israel serving as producer/engineer. The studio was full of an overwhelming and deeply moving atmosphere. By May 2022, they'll have a new EP with five original songs. Each song has different textures and louder joy to reflect the intensity of their reuniting. The great personal growth that resulted from their time apart is heard more clearly than ever in their music.
