The Lacs Information
The Lacs is a country rap duo founded in 2002 and originated from Baxley, Georgia. The duo consists of Clay “Uncle Snap” Sharpe and Brian “Rooster” King. Initially, the group also featured Brandon Herndon on its first three self-released albums on Side Ya Mouth Records.
The Lacs recorded six studio albums for Backroad Records, which is a subsidiary of Average Joes Entertainment. This independent label was co-owned by fellow country rap artist Colt Ford. Out of thirteen, four albums have entered the Billboard 200. The duo also created its record label in 2017 named Dirt Rock Empire. On this label, The Lacs released its first album entitled Dirtbagz, Vol. 1., a compilation album that features many of the label’s artists such as Crucifix, Nate Kenyon, and Hard Target.
The Lacs has worked with a few associated acts so far, such as Danny Boone, Colt Ford, Matt Stillwell, Bubba Sparxxx, and Hard Target. Some of the notable studio albums released by the duo so far include Midas Well Get Drunk, South on Fire, Country Boy’s Paradise, 190 Proof, Keep It Redneck, Nothing in Particular, Outlaw in Me, and Welcome to Dodge City.
