The Judds Information
At the 2022 CMT Music Awards, Wynonna and Naomi Judd reunited for their last performance as a duo. Their rendition of "Love Can Build a Bridge" was recorded at Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame. Kacey Musgraves kicked off the show. This was the Judds' first performance on a nationally broadcast awards program in over twenty years.
The Judds announced their farewell tour (titled "The Final Tour") with special guest Martina McBride on April 11, 2022; it would consist of 10 dates, concluding on September 30, 2022. But on April 30, 2022, just five months before the tour began, Naomi took her own life. The Judds were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame the day after Naomi's death, following Wynonna and Ashley's desires that the medallion ceremony go on despite their grief.
Wynonna declared in late 2022 that she and Martina McBride, Kelsea Ballerini, Ashley McBryde, Faith Hill, Brandi Carlile, Little Big Town, and Trisha Yearwood will continue touring as The Judds despite Naomi's passing. Wynonna Judd: Between Heaven and Hell, a documentary about the tour, was published on April 26, 2023.
