The Israel Symphony Orchestra of Beersheva was established in 1973 and performed throughout Israel, particularly in Beersheva. The symphony orchestra has performed in all of the leading concert halls of the country. The Orchestra has become an artistic body with international fame. So far, hundreds of world-class musicians have performed with the symphony orchestra, including Shlomo Mintz, Jean-Pierre Rampal, Pinchas Zukerman, Isaac Stern, and Leonard Bernstein.
The Israel Symphony Orchestra is known as the first Israeli Orchestra to perform in Berlin's Bundestag building. The orchestra has made several CDs and recordings as radio broadcasts. They have made many others under the batons of some of the most excellent conductors of the 20th and 21st centuries.
Nir Kabaretti assumed the position of the Music Director for The Israel Symphony of Beersheva. Due to his vast symphonic and operatic repertoire, Kabaretti has earned an impressive reputation. His guest conducting engagements include National Taiwan Symphony, La Orquesta Sinfonica de Madrid, Philadelphia Chamber Orchestra, Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Jerusalem Symphony, Orquestre National du Theatre du Capitole de Toulouse, Orquesta Filamonica de Buenos Aires, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
Thus far, The Israel Symphony Orchestra of Beersheva has performed internationally at Gaudi (Barcelona), the Colosseum (Munich), Festival Hall (London), Richardson Hall (Toronto), Carnegie Hall (New York), and has also completed two China tours.
