The Four Seasons Information
The Four Seasons is a rock and pop band formed in 1960 in New Jersey. Since 1970, they have also been known as Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. The group's members, led by Frankie Valli, Tommy DeVito, and Nick Massi, emerged from a band called The Four Lovers. They were known as The Four Seasons on their singles from the 1960s.
After a dismal audition in 1960, Gaudio and Valli settled on the moniker Four Seasons Partnership for their newly created business. However, Gaudio and Valli have remained constants, with each owning half of the act and its assets, including practically all of the band's recording catalog, despite the frequent turnover of band members. As of 2022, only Valli remains from the original lineup to perform live.
They were first inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1990, then into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1999. There is a good chance that they have sold over a hundred million records globally, making them one of the most successful bands in history.
