The Expendables Information
The Expendables is an American reggae-rock band that is based in Santa Cruz, California, forming in 1997. The band’s current lineup consists of Raul Bianchi (lead guitar), Ryan DeMars (bass), Geoff Weers (vocals and guitars), and Adam Patterson (drums and vocals). Their music is known due to their diverse mix of genres, such as punk rock, surf rock, ska, and reggae.
In 2003, The Expendable produced their own radio show called “Locals Only.” It aired on radio station KMBY. They also contributed to a compilation album in 2005 that was a fundraising effort for the United States junior surfing team. While they were touring to build up a fan base, the group members were followed by a film of 2005 named “XXX Rates: A Year in the Life of a Santa Cruz Phenomenon.”
Some of the notable hits by The Expendables include Sacrifice and Bowl for Two from their album “Gettin’ Filthy.” It was readily available for the music video game Guitar Hero World Tour as a playable song. The band has released several notable albums so far including No Time To Worry (2001), Open Container (2003), Prove It (2010), Gone Soft (Acoustic) (2012), Sand in the Sky (2015), In This Moment EP (2017), and Gone Raw (Acoustic) (2019).
