Tasha Information
Tasha Viets-VanLear is an American musician from Chicago. She is professionally known simply as Tasha. She was born and grew up in Albany Park. Tasha was active in theater and poetry as a child. Tasha went to St. Olaf College and Northside College Preparatory High School. Tasha worked at Black Youth Project 100 after returning to Chicago after college. Tasha launched her first EP, Divine Love, in 2016. The EP is said to be about "political activism and self-love." Tasha confirmed her plans to release her first full-length album in 2018 and the new single "Kind of Love."
Before the album's release, Tasha shared a new song called "New Place." Alone at Last, the album was released in 2018 by Father/Daughter Records. Tasha released a new song titled "But There's Still The Moon" in April 2020. Tell Me What You Miss the Most, her second full-length album, was released on November 5, 2021.
