Live music, delicious food, a BBQ competition, beverages, and games can all be found at the Tampa Pig Jig, an annual fundraiser event on downtown Tampa's scenic waterfront. The funds raised at this event will go to NephCure, the only nonprofit with the mission of curing the devastating kidney diseases Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and Nephrotic Syndrome.
The Tampa Pig Jig has raised millions of dollars for NephCure since it began. Old Florida Federation, a 501(c)3 organization started by a group of friends in the Tampa area, is responsible for creating the Tampa Pig Jig. NephCure's mission is to increase public understanding of FSGS (Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis) and Nephrotic Syndrome and to generate financial support for research into the causes, diagnosis, and treatment of these rare and disabling kidney diseases.
