Tame Impala Information
Tame Impala is a psychedelic musical band and project led by Kevin Parker. The vocals and instruments like guitar, bass guitar, synthesizer, and keyboard are all by him. Parker has also been responsible for the production of this band since 2007.
Tame Impala has had a lot of live studio members such as Jay Watson, who was on drums and synthesizer, and responsible for the backup vocals in their songs. Cam Avery was responsible for the bass guitar, backing vocals and synthesizer. Dominic Simpler is on bass guitar, synthesizer, and keyboard. Julien Barbagallo has been on drums and backing vocals since 2012.
Tame Impala has been nominated for three APRA Awards and won APRA Song of the Year for their song “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards.” In the ARIA Awards, they were nominated for many awards and won several among them like the Best Group Award, Album of the Year, and Best Rock Album for their album “Lonerism” in 2013.
In 2015, Tame Impala again won the Album of the Year and Best Rock Album for “Currents.” Kevin Parker himself won the Best Engineer of the Year and Best Producer of the Year awards followed by the Best Group award.
