SUSTO Information
SUTSO is an American indie rock band founded in 2013 and originated from Charleston, South Carolina. The band name is derived from the Spanish word "susto," which means "an intense fear understood as the soul's condition." The current lineup of SUTSO consists of Justin Osborne, Marshall Hudson, Dries Vandenberg, Jordan Hicks, and Steven Walker. Some of the past members include Johnny Delaware, Corey Campbell, Jenna Desmond, Taylor McCleskey, Eric Mixon, Gordon Keiter, and Matt Lohan.
SUSTO started its official career in 2014 when the band released its self-titled album. The album was released on the record label "Hearts & Plugs," followed by the second album entitled "& I'm Fine Today." This album was released via ACID BOYS and Missing Piece Records. "Ever Since I Lost My Mind" is the third album by SUSTO, released on Rounder Records on February 22, 2019.
SUSTO performed at the High-Water Festival in April 2018. The festival took place in North Charleston, South Carolina. In March 2019 SUTSO performed at Antone's Georgia Theatre in Austin, TX for South by Southwest.
SUSTO also released a Live album entitled Live from the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame in 2015. Two of the band's EPs are Hearts & Plugs 7s, Vol 1 (2015), and SUSTO Stories (2018). Chillin' On The Beach With My Best Friend Jesus Christ (2016) and R.I.P. Santa (2017) are the two singles by the group.
