Sunny Sweeney Information
Sunny Michaela Sweeney (December 7, 1976) is an American country music artist from Houston, Texas. Sweeney went to Southwest Texas State University and later moved to New York City to take a break from school. However, she soon returned to Texas and got a degree in Public Relations from SWT. She started her band after college and played in local bars around Austin. Her first album was released with the production help of Tommy Detamore in March 2006. Sweeney later signed to the independent Big Machine Records label as well as toured throughout Europe in 2007.
Heartbreaker's Hall of Fame was the debut album by Sweeney; self-released in March 2006 but got reissued in March 2007. Some of her initial hit singles include "If I Could," "Ten Years Pass," "East Texas Pines," "From a Table Away," "Bad Girl Phase," and "My Bed." Her notable studio albums are Concrete August 23, 2011; Provoked August 5, 2014; Trophy March 10, 2017; along with one EP entitled Sunny Sweeney EP January 18, 2011.
Her other singles that made it to charts are "Drink Myself Single," "Staying's Worse Than Leaving," "Bottle By My Bed," and "Poet's Prayer." Sweeney was nominated in ACM Awards 2013 for the category of Top New Female Artist.
