SubDocta Information
In 2017, Preston Charles, nicknamed SubDocta, broke out with the smash track "2009 Was Tight," supported by many industry-heavy hitters like Bassnectar. SubDocta is a well-known music producer who has made a name for himself with his unique blend of dubstep and other genres, which he has termed "West Coast Wobble" in honor of his west coast upbringing.
SubDocta has been on several major tours this year, including Riot Ten's "Hype or Die" tour and a string of sold-out gigs with Ganja White Night. In the fall, he went on the road with Dirt Monkey for their "Rise of the Octopeel" tour after opening for Opiuo on his "SYZYGY 01" tour. Being one of the most popular bass acts, he was invited to perform at many of the best festivals in North America, such as Valhalla, Big Dub, Lucidity, The Untz, Enchanted Forest, Infrasound, and SnowTa.
The Forbidden Kingdom, Ever After, Dancefestopia, High Caliber, Freaky Deaky, Lost Lands, and Wakaan are just some of the festivals he performed at thus far in 2019. In June, he dropped his follow-up EP, "Swonkle," on SubCarbon. Subsequently, he dropped tracks on Boogie T's Drama Club Records, Dirt Monkey's 19K Records, and Insomniac's Bassrush Records. To round out the year, he'll be on the road with Ganja White Night for over 30 stops on their "The One" tour.
