STRFKR Information
Strfkr is a Portland, Oregon-based indie rock band with all-caps styling. Joshua Hodges started it as a solo endeavor in 2007. Hodges recorded a solo album called Sexton Blake and followed up with an album under the band "Sexton Blake" called Plays The Hits! Before starting Starfucker Expunged Records handled both albums' releases. Corcoran drummed for the grindcore band The Weirding Way, headquartered in Vegas at this period.
The band debuted a song called "Never Ever" on February 10, 2016; the album "Being No One, Going Nowhere" came out in November of the same year. The band's sixth studio album, Future Past Life, was released on April 10, 2020; on September 6, 2019, they unveiled a new song called "Fantasy." From the album Reptilians, the song "Millions" was included in the American version of Skins.
Off of the album Reptilians, the song "Mona Vegas" was included in the 2013 film 21 & Over. From the album Miracle Mile, "While I'm Alive" finds resonance in the film version of The Fault in Our Stars. The band debuted their seventh album, "Parallel Realms," on Polyvinyl Records on March 1, 2024.
