Starset Information
Starset is an American rock band established in 2013 by Dustin Bates in Columbus, Ohio. Their first album, Transmissions, was published in 2014, and their second album, Vessels, was released on January 20, 2017. As of November 2016, the band was making over $230,000 in income from the latter. They have found success in broadening the themes of their concept albums via social media and YouTube.
Over 280 million YouTube views accrued from their single "My Demons" in the same timeframe. Rising to No. 2 on the US Billboard Mainstream Rock chart in May 2017, "Monster" is their most commercially successful single. Released on September 13, 2019, Divisions is their third studio album; Horizon, their fourth studio album, was released on October 22, 2021.
Starset collaborated with Breaking Benjamin on August 19, 2022, releasing "Waiting on the Sky to Change," a song rearrangement by Bates's former band. "Brave New World was Starset's debut song, and the accompanying music video was released on May 3, 2024. "Degenerate" was the title of the second single, released on July 4, 2024.
