Stadium of Fire Information
The Stadium of Fire is an almost yearly celebration that takes place at LaVell Edwards Stadium, Brigham Young University, on or around American Independence Day. It is one of the primary activities of the America's Freedom Festival. The biggest stadium fireworks display in the U.S. is part of this patriotic event, which comprises thousands of performers.
As an additional gift from America's Freedom Festival, it is also broadcast globally to U.S. troops and their families on American Forces T.V. In 1980, Merrill and Alan Osmond came up with the idea for the Stadium of Fire. This was one of several money-making ventures that the Osmond family came up with in the early 1980s to get out of under the heavy debt accrued due to their father, George Osmond's questionable business dealings.
It started small, but since 1980, it has grown into one of the U.S.'s biggest Independence Day parties. It was featuring world-renowned artists and the Stadium of Fire Dancers. Baruch Gayton Entertainment Group has been responsible for its creation and production for the last thirteen years.
