SoDown Information
Ehren River Wright (December 17, 1989) is an American electronic music producer, saxophone player, and DJ. He is from Boulder, Colorado, and is better known by his stage name SoDown. Wright grew up listening to a wide variety of music, including funk, soul, hip-hop, and reggae. The first instrument he learned as a child was the cello while in elementary school. According to him, Method Man, The Meters, Parliament, Wu-tang Clan, and James Brown are personalities he drew influences.
Wright later began taking a serious interest in music and started his exploration into electronic music. The passion grew in 2010 when he saw Pretty Lights perform at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Seven years later, in 2017, SoDown announced his debut performance. His debut was set to be at the very place where he had become inspired, Red Rocks Amphitheatre. According to SoDown, Red Rocks and the performance that kick-started his interest in music.
SoDown released an EP entitled Bounce Town on November 17, 2015. He is a member of Colorado’s own Mile High Sound Movement, an artist collective responsible for presenting the electronic music scene’s rawest talent, coming from the West.
