, Slim Cessna’s Auto Club is an American alternative country band. The current lineup of the group consists of Slim Cessna, George Cessna, Munly Munly, Lord Dwight Pentecost, Rebecca Vera, and Andrew Warner. The group released its debut album entitled, Slim Cessna’s Auto Club, a studio album released in 1995. In 1998, the band recorded their first live album and named it “American Country Music Changed Her Life.”
Slim Cessna’s Auto Club, or SCAC, released its second album on September 11, 2000, entitled “Always Say Please and Thank You.” Bob Ferbrache produced the album at Le Studio Absenta, while the cover artwork of the album was created by Rob Clayton and the design by Jason Rosenberg.
The group has so far embarked on several tours across the United States. SCAC has toured with Kid Congo & the Pink Monkey Birds and Nathanial Rateliff & Night Sweats. The band has also worked with different record labels such as SCAC Unincorporated, Glitterhouse Records, Alternative Tentacles, and Smooch Records. Their other notable studio albums are The Bloudy Tenent Truth & Peace (2004), Buried Behind the Barn (2004), and Cipher (2008).
