Sixwire Information
Sixwire is an American country music band from Nashville, Tennessee. The current lineup of the group consists of Chuck Tilley (drums and percussion), Steve Mandile (guitar and vocals), John Howard (bass and guitar), Steve Hornbeak (keyboards and vocals), and Andy Childs (lead vocals and guitar). From 1993 to 1994, Andy Childs used to record for RCA Nashville before the formation of Sixwire. The band was formed in 2000 and signed its first record deal with Warner Bros. Records in 2002.
Sixwire released its debut single entitled “Look at Me Now” that peaked at number 30 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks. The debut single was also included on their self-titled debut album that peaked at number 38 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart the same year. The only other single of the album, “Way Too Deep,” peaked at number 55. The group also appeared on the track named “It Goes Like This,” included on the eighth studio album by John Michael Montgomery, Pictures.
Sixwire auditioned for the Fox Network reality show named, The Next Great American Band in 2007. The band finished as runner-up. The next year, Sixwire served on CMT’s talent show, Can You Duet, as the house band.
