Showtek Information
Showtek is a famous Dutch electronic dance music duo created by two brothers, Wouter Janssen (August 20, 1982) and Sjoerd (April 4, 1984). The brothers belong to Eindhoven. The Janssens started their musical career in 2001. They mostly focused on electronic music, specifically techno music. Later on, in 2003, the brothers shifted their interest towards hardstyle.
Initially, Sjoerd produced hardstyle under Duro and Walter used to work on trance under his stage name Walt. In 2007, Showtek released its first album entitled Today Is Tomorrow. The album was released under their independent label named Dutch Master Works. The album was fortunate enough to reach number 68 on the Dutch music charts. It also scored 95/100 on Partyflock.
Showtek is also known for making major collaborations with well-known artists such as Chris Brown, David Guetta, Tiësto, and Kiss. The duo can regularly reach the top of multiple music charts with such collaborations. In 2014, the brothers were ranked 17th in the Top 100 DJs list, and by 2016, they dropped to number 96th.
Showtek also runs a podcast on iTunes, on their radio show. The brothers also started a series of collaborations, which they called Crazy Collabs, in 2012. They collaborated with a variety of producers working in different music genres.
