This American indie-pop duo started when Zooey Deschanel met M. Wardvin in the sets of the film The Go-Getter, where Zooey had the starring role. The two of them bonded quickly as they found they both had the same taste in music. They eventually started jamming together and giving shape to their joint ideas under the name She and Him. Ward played multiple instruments, especially the guitar, and also gave backing vocals, and Zooey also played more than one instrument especially the keyboard, and was the lead vocalist.
