Shallou is a professional name given to Joe Boston, who is a Los Angeles based singer, producer, and environmentalist. He produced soulful vocals as well as ambient, house melodies that crafted a unique niche in the scenes of Electronic and Indie music. His family was an intense music lover. Shallou first got inspired by a singer named James Blake along with Gold Panda (producer) at the age of 16. He combined the elements of these two big-named artists and came up with his very own hybrid.
Shallou began his official career in the year 2014. Since his entry into the industry, Shallou is under the attention of The Fader, Complex, Spin, Billboard, and a few more. Some of his early singles, including "Heights" and "Doubt," received some exclusive rotations on various music streaming platforms. "Motion Picture Soundtrack" was the first cover by Shallou released in 2017. "Begin," and "Friends" are two Spotify Singles by him that was recorded with a string quartet at the office of Spotify (New York).
“All Becomes Okay” is the debut EP by Shallou, which is easily available on all streaming services and can also be downloaded directly from the official website of Shallou. The profit for this EP 100% purely goes to the Environmental Defense Fund. Shallou also performs live as a duo with several other well-known artists. Some of the fellow artists that performed with Shallou are Honne, Blackbird Blackbird, Petit Biscuit, Roosevelt, Basecamp, Big Gigantic, and El Ten Eleven.

Souls is another EP by Shallou that was released in April 2018. Both of the Eps by Shallou were released under his own label named Sleeptalker.
