Shakey Graves Information
Shakey Graves (June 4, 1987) is an American singer from Austin, Texas. His music has elements of blues, folk, country, and rock & roll.
A stranger, obviously high on LSD, rambled "spooky wagons" at Old Settler's Music Festival in 2007, giving Rose-Garcia his stage moniker. The group then joked about over the campfire, assigning each other Native American guide names. He kept the title after an inspiring night of performing music.
Roll the Bones, Shakey Graves' self-released first album from 2011, is notable for being primarily a one-person band performance. He devised this arrangement after getting sick of borrowing kick drums and high hats.
The band's first television appearance was on Conan on October 14, 2014, followed by an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman, when they performed "Dearly Departed." The band debuted their next track, "The Perfect Parts," on Seth Meyers' Late Night show. The band appeared on Austin City Limits on May 6, 2015.
Shakey Graves celebrated the 10th anniversary of the publication of Roll the Bones, his debut album, which was initially self-released on CD-R. Roll the Bones X is a reissue of the band's album that has new material. The album peaked at position #136 on the Billboard 200.
