Formed by siblings Servando Primera (born 27 August 1980) and Florentino Primera, Servando & Florentino are popular musical acts in their native Venezuela. (born 31 August 1981). This person is the offspring of the late Al Primera, a popular Venezuelan singer, and activist. At the beginning of their career, they were a member of the salsa band Salsern, but they parted ways with the band in 1997. Their first album, Los Primera, was released that same year, and its lead song, "Una Fan Enamorada," was a huge hit.
In the United States, the song peaked at number one on the Hot Latin Songs list and the Tropical Airplay chart. The pair earned three Lo Nuestro nominations for "Tropical/Salsa Duo or Group of the Year," "New Tropical/Salsa Artist of the Year," and "Tropical/Salsa Song of the Year" for "Una Fan Enamorada" in 1999. They were nominated for "Tropical/salsa album of the Year, Duo or Group" and "Tropical/salsa album of the Year, new artist" for their work on Los Primera at the 1999 Latin Billboard Music Awards.
