SCPA Championships Information
The SCPA operates as a public charitable organization for the advantage of all. Volunteers who believe in the mission and want to help get the word out are hired, and activities are held. It was formed for the common good and is registered as required by the California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law. Their goal is to support and promote competitive performances and the growth of percussive art instruction. The SCPA Championship Finals are the championship for the best high school and independent percussion groups in the western United States.
The SCPA Finals are held in the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California. Pete Eklison, Mike Jackson, Ike Jackson, and Caleb Rothe are among the group's original members. The Southern California Percussion Alliance (SPCA) is a statewide group with participants all over the Golden State. This group of people first got together in 1997, and its original members included Jim Wunderlich, Mark Stone, and Luis Echavaria. Remo, Tama, Yamaha, and Lone Star Percussion are their sponsors. At their events, this group provides first-rate entertainment, impressing audiences with world-class percussion groups and other forms of performance art.
