Sarah Longfield is an American musician, multi-instrumentalist, and YouTuber. She is based in Madison, Wisconsin. Longfield is known for her two-handed tapping playstyle and the use of an eight-string guitar. In 2007, she started her YouTube channel that gained plenty of followers after collaborating with Rob Scallon on a series of metal songs based on ukulele covers. She also formed her band in 2012 called, The Fine Constant. Longfield released two albums with her band. Not only this, but the band also performed on Longfield’s solo tours. The band toured with Polyphia, Angel Vivaldi, and Marty Friedman.
Longfield also contributed to She Rocks, Vol. 1 in 2017. It was a compilation released by the record label, Favored Nations. She also signed a record deal with Season of Mist in 2018 and released an album, Disparity, produced by Longfield herself.
In 2018, Guitar World named Longfield on a list of “15 of the World’s Greatest Seven- and Eight-String Guitarists”. Standberg Guitars also started developing a series of signature guitars for her in 2019. Longfield’s notable EPs include Zeal (2011), Par Avion (2012), Oneiric EP (2013), Kikiria (2014), Velvet Nectar (2016), and Dusk (2020).
