Sarah Ann Darling (October 4, 1982) is an American music singer and songwriter. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa. The first time the public heard about Darling was in 2003 when she placed in the top four on Wayne Newton's reality show The Entertainer, shown on E! Entertainment Television. Because Newton thought she would be better off in Nashville focusing on country music, she didn't get to compete for the prize.
Sarah Darling's debut album, Every Monday Morning, was released on June 16, 2009, after she spent the summer of 2008 in the studio working on the material. Her new single, "Jack of Hearts," debuted in the top 20 on Country Music Television's charts. Angels & Devils, a second album, was released after "Something to Do With Your Hands" and the U2 cover "With or Without You."
Darling's new musical approach was hinted at in her self-released album Dream Country, which dropped on February 10, 2017. Dream Country was a huge success in the United States and the United Kingdom, amassing over 4 million streams across Spotify and Apple Music. Darling's newest album, Wonderland, was released on June 7, 2019, and quickly rose to the top of the official UK Country Artist Album Charts. Darling's single "Divide" featuring Ward Thomas was released on November 22, 2019, and she appeared at Nashville Meets London in July and the British Country Music Festival in September.
