San Diego Symphony Information
Weeks and Day designed the San Diego, California Copley Symphony Hall (formerly the Fox Theatre) opened in 1929 as a 68,000-square-foot Gothic-revival luxury cinema theater. In 1984, the San Diego Symphony was awarded the hall. It also houses a Conservatory and has been the site of performances by the San Diego Youth Symphony and other youth orchestras.
They play at the Jacobs Music Center and do any style of music, both modern and classical. The orchestra has gained a reputation for having great musicians who are very energetic and emotional.
The San Diego Symphony has collaborated with several renowned conductors and musicians over the years. They have performed special programs and collaborated with other artists.
