Sam Hunt (December 8, 1984) is an American singer and songwriter. He was born in Cedartown, Georgia. The fact that Hunt incorporates R&B and pop into the production and authorship of his songs has a significant hand in getting appreciation from fans and critics. Hunt blends country, R&B, and pop influences when he creates music. He has been nominated for multiple Grammys and a Billboard Music Award, among others. He has also won an American Music Award and a CMT Music Award.
Hunt's "Breaking Up Was Easy in the '90s" was the fifth song that he released to country radio from Southside. It was released in October 2020. In April of 2021, he collaborated with indie pop singer Sasha Sloan on her single "When Was It Over?" They co-wrote the song with a few other people, including Shane McAnally. He collaborated with Ingrid Andress on a song called "Wishful Drinking" in August 2021. Later, he released a single titled "23" in September of that year.
The promotional singles "Start Nowhere" and "Water Under the Bridge" were released under his name in 2022. His new single "Outskirts" and accompanying "Summer on the Outskirts Tour" were released in 2023.
