Rusko Information
Christopher William Mercer (January 26, 1985) is a British DJ and electronic music producer from York, England. He is professionally known as Rusko. Mercer was born in Leeds and brought up in nearby York. Rusko grew up just outside the city in Wheldrake and went to Fulford School. He completed his graduation later from Leeds College of Music and gained a degree in Music Performance. Rusko was soon immersed in the world of dubstep through Leeds based event called “Sub Dub.” The event was held at the West Indian Centre.
Rusko was also featured in an interview by Fact Magazine on October 26, 2012, in which he stated that he has different plans for releasing his music from now on. He joined OWSLA in 2013. Rusko’s associated acts include Sub Focus, Kid Sister, Pixie Lott, Crookers, Redlight, Damian Marley, Cypress Hill, M.I.A, and Caspa. His albums include FabricLive .37 (2007), O.M.G.! (2010), and Songs (2012).
