Runaway June Information
Runaway June is a country music group that originated from Nashville, Tennessee, founded in 2015. The current lineup of Runaway June consists of vocalists Naomi Cooke, Jennifer Wayne, and Natalie Stovall. Hannah Mulholland was another vocalist, although she left in 2020 to be replaced by Stovall. The three founding members met each other in Nashville and wrote their debut single, "Lipstick," with Rebecca Lynn Howard, Elisha Hoffman, and Caroline Hobby.
"Lipstick" was released in 2016 via Broken Bow Records' Wheelhouse Records imprint, and was praised by Taste of Country. Their self-titled debut EP followed it in September 2018 that featured the songs "Buy My Own Drinks” and "Wild West." Runaway June was also a supporting act for Carrie Underwood on her Cry Pretty Tour 360, which took place from May 1, 2019, to October 31, 2019.
Blue Roses was the debut album by Runaway June, released on June 28, 2019. One of the notable singles included in this album was "Buy My Own Drinks." The album debuted at number 36 on the Top Country Albums chart and number 2 on the Heatseekers Albums chart. Some of the other notable singles by the group are "Wild West," "Head over Heels," and "We Were Rich." "Sleigh Ride" is another chart-topping song by Runaway June. The group was even nominated for the 2018 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards and 2019 CMT Music Awards.
