Rose Hill Drive is a rock band that originated from Boulder, Colorado. Founded in 2000, the group’s current lineup consists of Daniel Sproul, Jacob Sproul, and Nathan Barnes. Rose Hill Drive is often aligned with different notable bands that revive early metal-psychedelic and traditional hard rock. It combines hard-driving blues and rock with the latest arrangements and touches. Reviewers describe the group as reminiscent of 1970s rock bands such as Cream and Led Zeppelin.
Rose Hill Drive has performed with several notable artists and groups since they started performing live, including Aerosmith, The Answer, Gov’t Mule, Van Halen, Queens of the Stone Age, Wilco, Robert Randolph, The Who, The Black Crowes, and Stone Temple Pilots. The band has also performed at Warped Tour, Austin City Limits, Red Rocks, Wakarusa, Bonnaroo, and Graspop.
Rose Hill Drive released its debut self-titled album on August 22, 2006. The album was released via Megaforce Records. The group was later named as part of the “10 New Artists/Acts to Watch” in the April 2007 issue of Rolling Stone Magazine. The group’s song “Goal!” is the official anthem for Major League Soccer’s Colorado Rapids.
On June 24, 2008, Roe Hill Drive released its second album entitled “Moon is the New Earth.” The album showed a blend of psychedelia, pop, punk-rock, and classic rock. The single album entitled “Sneak Out” appeared in a popular video game, “Guitar Hero 5.” Rose Hill Drive has released two more studio albums: Americana (2011) and Mania (2017).
