Roger Sanchez Information
Roger Sanchez (June 1, 1967) is a Dominican-American house music DJ, producer, and remixer. He was born in New York City. Sanchez started off performing in NYC clubs before touring the world. Sanchez has risen to prominence on the European club circuit, particularly on the Spanish island of Ibiza, alongside fellow New York house DJs Erick Morillo, David Morales, and Danny Tenaglia. He has spent every summer since 2000 living on the island.
Sanchez's compositions and remixes for artists including Diana Ross, Kylie Minogue, Daft Punk, Madonna, The Police, No Doubt, and Maroon 5 have been huge hits in Europe and worldwide. His 2003 remix of No Doubt's "Hella Good" earned him his first Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording. With 15 million listeners worldwide, he hosts a weekly radio show called Release Yourself on terrestrial and online radio. Sanchez also publishes a podcast twice monthly, syndicated worldwide, in addition to his radio program.
The first-ever Best Podcast Award was given to the podcast at the 2007 International Dance Music Awards (IDMA). The podcast's thousandth episode was released on December 21, 2020. When DJ Magazine revealed their 2009 Top 100 DJ Poll results on October 28, Ultra Records Sanchez came in at position #60. In 2002, he established his record label called Stealth Records. Sanchez releases a new compilation album under the title Release Yourself each year, featuring a unique mix of deep house, Latin, tribal, and tech music.
