River Kittens Information
River Kittens is a folk, bluegrass, and Americana band in St. Louis, Missouri. The band comprises Allie Vogler and Mattie Schell, who contribute vocals and instrumentals, respectively. Another group member, Nathan Gilberg, goes under the stage name Nathan Graham when he plays with the band. A third vocalist, Martha Mehring, was featured on the first album. She left the band in 2018 to follow a more traditional career path.
In 2014, the group's principals got together in a pub with a metal theme and created the group. A contract was reached between the band and Devon Allman's Create Records in the year 2021. A subsequent leg of the River Kittens' tour, which will be performed in the Allman Betts Band configuration, is scheduled for spring 2022. The River Kittens have been touring the U.S. as the opening act for the Allman Family Revival since December 2021.
