Rick Trevino Information
Ricardo Trevino Jr. is a country musician professionally known as Rick Trevino, born in Austin, Texas. Trevino began his career with the release of his debut single entitled “Just Enough Rope.” It was the first mainstream country music single that separated Spanish and English versions. The single was included on his debut album entitled “Dos Mundos.”
Trevino was offered a baseball scholarship to Memphis State University, but instead, he chose to study music at Texas A&M University. He was eventually signed by Sony label by one of their representatives, Paul Jarosik, who had attended one of Trevino’s performances. He released his first English album entitled “Rick Trevino.” The album was certified gold, selling over 500,000 copies. It featured the hit singles “Doctor Time” and “She Can’t Say I Didn’t Cry.” On September 7, 1993, Trevino released his debut single “Just Enough Rope.”
Trevino has worked with a few record labels in his career, including Columbia Nashville, Warner Bros – Nashville, and Vanguard. He has also released several notable singles such as “Honky Tonky Crowd” (1994), “Looking for the Light” (1995), “Save This One for Me” (1995), and “Running Out of Reasons to Run” (1996). The notable studio albums that he has released so far include Learning as You Go (June 25, 1996), Mi Son (January 23, 2001), In My Dreams (September 9, 2003), Oh Ven, Emanuel (2009), and a few more.
