Red Fang Information
Red Fang is a Portland, Oregon-based American rock band that formed in 2005. John Sherman (drums), David Sullivan (lead guitar), Aaron Beam (bass guitar and vocals), and Bryan Giles (guitar) make up the current lineup of the band. Wantage USA Records in Montana was where Red Fang debuted with their self-titled album. Red Fang's debut for record label Sargent House/Wantage USA in 2009 comprised the band's first two limited-edition EPs.
Red Fang's sophomore album, Murder the Mountains, was released in 2011 on Relapse Records and produced by Chris Funk. In 2011, Red Fang joined the band's Crowbar and Helmet on the Metalliance tour; the same year, Red Fang opened the Jägermeister stage at the annual Rockstar Energy Drink festival. Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, which included headliners Megadeth, Godsmack, and Disturbed.
Red Fang was confirmed as one of the opening acts for Mastodon's 2011 and 2012 tours in the United States and Europe on September 12, 2011. Later that year, Red Fang and Black Tusk embarked on a European headline tour with Black Tusk, performing for the first time in Russia, Ukraine, and Greece. Red Fang came to Australia in February 2013 to perform at the Australian Soundwave Festival and sideshows alongside stoner rock bands Kyuss Lives! and Orange Goblin.
After their 2013 CD "Whales and Leeches" reached number 66 on Billboard's Top 200, the band played on The Late Show with David Letterman in January 2014. Red Fang has five studio albums under their belt, including Red Fang (2009), Murder the Mountains (2011), Whales and Leeches (2013), Only Ghosts (2016), and Arrows (2017).
