RAC - Andre Allen Anjos Information
Andre Allen Anjos is a Portland-based Portuguese-American producer and musician. He is better known by his stage name RAC. So far, he has created over 200 remixes in the dance, electronica, and rock music for multiple artists. His work has been featured in popular ads from Hulu to Citigroup. RAC’s five-piece live touring act has been featured at Lollapalooza, Corona Capital music festival, Bumbershoot, Firefly Music Festival, and Coachella.
While Anjos was young, his family moved often. According to Anjos, he attended nearly ten different schools until his parents settled in Santa Maria da Feira near Porto. As a child, he took up playing the piano when he was only six and received his first guitar at thirteen.
In 2007, Anjos officially started his music career by creating The Remix Artist Collective in January. He founded RAC while he was studying at Greenville College in Illinois. RAC’s first release was “Sleeping Lessons (RAC Mix).” In recent years, RAC has remixed several notable artists including Washed Out, Odesza, Lady Gaga, New Order, Ella Fitzgerald, U2, Bob Marley, Two Door Cinema Club, Linkin Park, Foster The People, Phoenix, Death Cab For Cutie, Edward Sharpe, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Lana Del Rey, and Kings of Leon.
RAC has released several notable albums and EPs, including Holly Rollers OST (2010), Chapter One (2012), Strangers (2014), Master Spy (2015), Ego (2017), and Boy (2020), Nintendo VS Sega EP (2008), and Don’t Talk To (2013).
